چکیده
Acacia concinna (Willd.) DC. is a medicinal plant sourced mainly from Southeast Asia. The pods of (A. concinna) are potential candidate to treat or prevent obesity; however, these attributes have not been examined in detail. In this study, the anti-obesogenic compounds A. were investigated. Chromatographic separation pod extract guided by pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity led isolation saponins. Decomposition analysis saponins revealed their chemical composition be acacic acid, monoterpenes, and five types sugars (glucose, xylose, rhamnose, quinovose, arabinose). predicted structures decomposition confirmed LC–MS analysis, showing that mixture various derivatives monoterpenes sugar units. These inhibited strongly with an IC50 7.9 μg/mL, reduced lipid accumulation 3T3-L1 adipocytes at 6.3 μg/mL. also enhanced lipolysis 3.1 μg/mL mediating protein kinase A extracellular signal-regulated pathways, suggesting mechanism partly responsible for observed reduction content adipocytes. results underline as source candidates future treatment prevention obesity.

Enhancement of membrane damage by saponins isolated from Acacia auriculiformis.
Acaciaside A and B, two acylated triterpenoid bisglycosides isolated from the funicles of Acacia auriculiformis, are known to have antihelmintic activity. Since the saponins contain a conjugated unsaturated system that is highly susceptible to peroxidation, we investigated the interaction of saponins and membrane using rat liver microsomes as our model. Microsomal membranes were incubated with ...

The expeditious synthesis of 2-aryl-benzothia/(oxa)zoles was carried out by the condensation of 2-aminothiophenol/2-aminophenol and diverse aryl aldehydes in presence of Acacia concinna as a biocatalyst under microwave irradiation. The catalytic process is associated with excellent yields, greener reaction conditions and the environmentally friendly microwave technique which are the st...
